We should maintain that if an interpretation of any word in any religion leads to disharmony and does not positively further the welfare of the many, then such an interpretation is to be regarded as wrong; that is, against the will of God, or as the working of Satan or Mara.

A Sad P.S.

There's a sad postscript to the Akin versus liberals affair. According to a recent posting (here), Akin has added a political attack specialist to his campaign staff. This "gentleman" played a role in the "swift boat" attacks on John Kerry in 2004 and the attempt to hang the supposed radical, Bill Ayers, around President Obama's neck in 2008. This move sends clear signals about Akin's liberals hate God comment.  He meant it, isn't sorry for it other than the negative publicity it has gotten him, and intends to deal with that negative publicity by going on the attack.  This kind of scorched earth politics does our nation a huge disservice, and it is troubling that a man who professes a saving faith in Christ employs it.
