We should maintain that if an interpretation of any word in any religion leads to disharmony and does not positively further the welfare of the many, then such an interpretation is to be regarded as wrong; that is, against the will of God, or as the working of Satan or Mara.

Taking God Out of Politics - For God's Sake

Let me take a little break today from my self-appointed task of turning out a posting a day and point readers in the direction of a posting by Jonathan Malesic entitled, Why Politicians Should Keep Their Faith Hidden."  His point, in a nutshell is that, "...American Christianity is being poisoned by the transformation of Christian identity to a market-tested political brand identity." It's worth a look.
