We should maintain that if an interpretation of any word in any religion leads to disharmony and does not positively further the welfare of the many, then such an interpretation is to be regarded as wrong; that is, against the will of God, or as the working of Satan or Mara.

Karen Armstrong Interview

While looking into the "Charter for Compassion," I came across this informative interview (here) with Karen Armstrong , the religious writer who initiated the charter.  It is 25 minutes in length and well worth the viewing.  She discusses her background, faith journey, and thoughts on contemporary religion including the relationship of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam to each other.  You might want to check it out.
